EDM number 367 in 2001-02, proposed by John Barrett on 06/11/2001.

That this House welcomes the decision of the European Union Standing Veterinary Committee to lift the export ban on Scottish lamb and venison in most of Scotland; notes that this measure will be a welcome relief to the hard hit farmers of Scotland; congratulates the Scottish Rural Development Minister, Ross Finnie MSP, on securing the prompt containment of foot and mouth disease in Scotland, enabling this decision; and looks forward to the lifting of the ban in the rest of Scotland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 32 MPs.
