Rail Services In The South West

EDM number 672 in 2001-02, proposed by Gary Streeter on 16/01/2002.

That this House notes with concern the lack of any real improvement for rail services in the far South West contained in the recent Strategic Rail Authority's 10 year plan; and calls on the Government to take immediate and effective action to speed up train journeys to Devon and Cornwall, and in particular to set as a priority a consistent journey time of three hours from London to Plymouth.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
