Waverley Line

EDM number 675 in 2001-02, proposed by John Barrett on 16/01/2002.

That this House recognises that the development of a Waverley line from Edinburgh to Carlisle is linked to the capacity of Waverley Station in Edinburgh and therefore welcomes the recently announced ú400 million investment by the Strategic Rail Authority into Waverley Station; and calls on the SRA to bring forward, at an early date, detailed proposals to ensure early delivery of a high quality railway station to serve Scotland's capital city.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
