That this House notes that the Blue Badge scheme of disability vehicle stickers benefits thousands of people throughout the United Kingdom who suffer from long-term disabilities; believes that local authorities should have the right to issue temporary blue badges to individuals who are suffering from short-term disabilities; and awaits with interest the report of the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee who are currently consulting and investigating this matter.
