Kaddish And Ariel Sharon

EDM number 932 in 2001-02, proposed by Gerald Kaufman on 05/03/2002.

That this House acknowledges with respect the Jewish religious practice of reciting the Kaddish memorial prayer on the anniversary of a bereavement; notes that 7th March is the first anniversay of the installation of Ariel Sharon as Prime Minister of Israel, elected on a pledge to provide security for his country; and believes that this is an appropriate time to recite Kaddish in memory of the hundreds of innocent Israeli children, women and men who have been killed by terrorist action, together with many more innocent Palestinians who have been killed, during this year of Ariel Sharon's premiership.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
