Policing In London

EDM number 961 in 2001-02, proposed by John Austin on 07/03/2002.

That this House believes that a more efficient and cost-effective system of policing could be provided by a single, unified police force for the capital city; and calls upon the Home Secretary to investigate the possibility of amalgamating the Metropolitan Police and City of London Police forces together with those units and officers of the British Transport Police and Royal Parks Constabulary serving the Greater London Area.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
