Sporting Chance Appeal, For British Wheelchair Sports Foundation National Centre For Disabled Sports At Stoke Mandeville

That this House congratulates the Sporting Chance Appeal which has raised ú9.3 million to rebuild the national centre for disabled sports at Stoke Mandeville the birthplace of the Paralympic Games; commends the Sport England Lottery Fund for contributing ú5.24 million towards this total; hopes that the committee will raise the final amount of ú700,000 shortly; and pays tribute to the work of Robin Courage for galvanising and maintaining the Appeal over the past four years.
