Portsmouth Football Club
EDM number 1084 in 2002-03, proposed by Mike Hancock on 28/04/2003.
That this House congratulates Portsmouth Football Club on being promoted to the Football Premier League as champions of the First Division; notes also the tremendous honesty, skill and commitment of Harry Redknapp and Jim Smith, the players, and also the backroom staff in contributing to this success; and recognises in particular the personal contribution made by chairman Milan Mandaric who, along with all the supporters, have never wavered in their belief in the club, and who can now justifiably be very proud of their achievement.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
