Recalling Cardiff Blitz

That this House congratulates the distinguished journalist and Cardiff historian John O'Sullivan for compiling a fascinating series of anecdotes on wartime Cardiff that vividly illustrate the valour, suffering and humour of those inspiring terrible days; regrets the decision to exclude these reminiscences from a service to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the last air raid on the city because it could cause offence to the German Consul; and notes that the anecdotes can now be read on the website of the honourable Member for Newport West.
