Syringe Shaped Sweets
EDM number 1283 in 2002-03, proposed by Lynne Jones on 21/05/2003.
That this House notes that syringe shaped sweets costing 10 pence are currently on sale in parts of the UK under the name 'Freekee Drops' produced by Key, S.L. based in Huesca, Spain, and featuring a cartoon character on the packaging with swirling eyes and salivating mouth; believes that the sweets could lead children to associate addictive drugs like heroin with pleasurable adult behaviour; and calls on the Government to ban the sale of syringe shaped sweets throughout the UK.
This motion has been signed by a total of 46 MPs.
