Child Support Agency
EDM number 1786 in 2002-03, proposed by Wayne David on 21/10/2003.
That this House expresses its concerns about the continuing problems within the Child Support Agency; notes that in his evidence to the Work and Pensions Select Committee on 2nd July, the Chief Executive of the Child Support Agency acknowledged that there were difficulties with the Agency's computers; recognises that these problems mean that payments to clients in some cases are delayed for many months; and urges the Government to continue its efforts to improve the quality of the Child Support Agency's service so that no child is made to suffer because of a lack of financial support caused by delays.
