Islay Wave Bus

EDM number 181 in 2002-03, proposed by Alan Reid on 21/11/2002.

That this House congratulates Greenpeace and the Islay Development Company for providing and operating the Islay Wave Bus, the first electric bus in the world to be powered by wave energy (produced by Scottish company Wavegen's pioneering generating plant operating on the island's shoreline); notes that the bus emits no polluting gases and the electricity generation process produces no carbon dioxide; and calls on the Government to invest more in the research and development of this form of environmentally beneficial energy and transport.

This motion has been signed by a total of 58 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
