Citb Levy

EDM number 350 in 2002-03, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 11/12/2002.

That this House recognises that one of the main functions of the Construction Industry Training Board is to provide training to the construction industry; acknowledges that to fund provision of that training, the CITB imposes a levy on employers within the construction industry; and calls for a change in the legislation to exempt tool hire and plant hire companies from the scope of the CITB levy as they do not receive any accompanying benefit from this tax.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
