Train Service For The Wales Versus England Rugby Match

EDM number 460 in 2002-03, proposed by Kevin Brennan on 07/01/2003.

That this House deplores the decision by the Wales and the Borders franchise to cancel all services for rugby fans wishing to travel to England after the Wales versus England Six Nations rugby match at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on 22nd February; further believes that it should be perfectly possible to provide a safe pre-bookable rail service with reserved seats after the match; believes also that this is no way to run a railway; and calls on the Strategic Rail Authority to step in and compel the train operators to provide an adequate and safe service.

This motion has been signed by a total of 38 MPs.
