Brian Edgar And The Rugby League Hall Of Fame

EDM number 520 in 2002-03, proposed by Tony Cunningham on 15/01/2003.

That this House notes that no player has joined the Rugby League's Hall of Fame since 1989; further notes that no Cumbrian is a member and that no forward from Cumbria, Lancashire or Yorkshire has been admitted; and calls on the Rugby League to recognise the major contributions the County of Cumbria has made to the history of Rugby League by installing Brian Edgar, one of Britain's greatest forwards, who represented Great Britain on tours of Australia in 1958, 1962 and 1966, into Rugby League's Hall of Fame.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
