C2c Rolling Stock
EDM number 1225 in 2003-04, proposed by Bob Spink on 19/05/2004.
That this House notes with great concern that the Strategic Rail Authority has allowed c2c Rail to remove five of its 4-coach class 357 trains from the Fenchurch Street line to the Liverpool Street line from September; notes that this will promote the phasing out of 12-coach trains on the c2c route leading to even more overcrowding, unreliability, cancellations and increased discomfort and stress for c2c passengers; and calls on the Government to intervene to ensure that current overcrowding is tackled by increasing not decreasing capacity on the c2c route.
