Closure Of Post Office, Little Venice

EDM number 1390 in 2003-04, proposed by Karen Buck on 23/06/2004.

That this House condemns the proposal by Post Office Ltd. to close the Clifton post office in Little Venice, Westminster, coming as it does soon after three other local post office closures; notes the strong community support for the retention of the service which plays an important role in neighbourhood cohesion; and calls upon Post Office Ltd. to withdraw plans for the closure and to demonstrate a greater recognition of the importance of local post offices in urban as well as in rural areas.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
