BT'S CLOSURE OF RURAL PHONE BOXES IN SOUTH WEST SCOTLAND

EDM number 1590 in 2003-04, proposed by Peter Duncan on 07/09/2004.

That this House notes the proposals by BT plc to close rural phone boxes in south west Scotland; believes that these boxes provide a vital local lifeline and link to local communities in remote areas; and demands that the Government ensures that BT plc fully upholds its obligations to residents and visitors to these areas.
