University Of Ulster Swimming Pool

That this House condemns the University of Ulster's decision to close the swimming pool at the Jordanstown campus; notes that there was no consultation with the students, the local community and the users of the pool; regrets that many schools, including a school for children with disabilities, have been forced to seek use of alternative scarce swimming facilities; further notes that the University has been in receipt of Ãº11 million from the Sports Council to develop a sports institute for Northern Ireland; and calls on the Vice Chancellor to reverse this decision immediately.
