Senators Kerry And Edwards And Nuclear Weapons

EDM number 1767 in 2003-04, proposed by Alan Simpson on 19/10/2004.

That this House welcomes the recent comments by Democratic presidential candidate Senator John Kerry who said during his debate with President Bush that a Kerry-Edwards Administration will stop this Administration's programme to develop a new class of nuclear weapons and will work in a global partnership with other nations to prevent the spread of these deadly weapons; believes that these comments reflect the views of the majority of the British people who support the global elimination of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, as the only guarantee for international peace and security; and wishes the Senators John Kerry and John Edwards success in the forthcoming presidential election.

This motion has been signed by a total of 55 MPs.
