Post Offices In Edinburgh North And Leith

That this House expresses its concern at the decision by Post Office Ltd to close post offices in, or serving, Edinburgh North and Leith constituency at Newhaven Main Street, New Kirkgate, Albert Place and Comely Bank, in the face of widespread public opposition to the closure of the Newhaven Main Street and Comely Bank post offices in particular; calls upon Post Office Ltd to provide expanded post office facilities at Great Junction Street (Leith) and Stockbridge and the other post offices identified by them as alternatives; and urges Post Office Ltd to find suitable premises to allow for the reopening of a branch in the West End of Edinburgh to replace Hope Street Post Office.
