Leicester Mercury Phone Mast Campaign

EDM number 394 in 2003-04, proposed by Keith Vaz on 12/01/2004.

That this House welcomes the campaign launched by the Leicester Mercury to try and get a full and complete up-to-date list of mobile phone mast locations in the UK; notes that Leicestershire has granted permission for more than 500 masts above 15 metres but there are hundreds more of the smaller masts that do not need permission and whose location is unknown; and calls on the Deputy Prime Minister to require up-to-date records to be kept by every local authority and which is open to public inspection so that local people are aware of where these masts are.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
