Community Rail Development Strategy

EDM number 192 in 2004-05, proposed by Theresa May on 25/11/2004.

That this House condemns the Government's decision to continue the Community Rail plans for the Henley-Twyford and Maidenhead-Marlow branch lines, noting that these lines are key commuter routes; further notes that under the proposals safety standards will fall, and Government investment will be cut; deplores the increase in road congestion and engine emissions that would follow branch line deterioration; and calls on the Government to cancel the proposals for these lines forthwith.

This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
