Pension Commission Report

EDM number 209 in 2004-05, proposed by David Willetts on 25/11/2004.

That this House welcomes the publication of the Pension Commission's First Report; notes with interest that the commission found that the UK's private pensions system is in significant decline and that the decline has accelerated greatly in the last four years in particular; is concerned that the commission is not expected to publish its next report until after the next General Election; urges the Government to bring forward the publication of the next report to February 2005; and calls on the Government to join the Conservative Party in committing to set out its pensions proposals to the country at the next General Election.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs.
