Availability Of Glivec

EDM number 348 in 2004-05, proposed by Mike Hancock on 08/12/2004.

That this House supports the guidance issued by the Department of Health ensuring that Glivec, a novel treatment for chronic myeloid leukaemia, is available on the NHS; and welcomes the recognition that has now been granted by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, without restrictions, which ensures another step forward in the constant battle against this terrible disease.
