That this House welcomes the formation of Cumbria Colleges Ltd, a new company formed by Kendal College, Lakes College, Furness College and Carlisle College, the four colleges in Cumbria; notes their goal of helping to create a better, more capable workforce and their commitment to working closely with agencies, employers and others to upskill the Cumbrian workforce and to enhance competitiveness, prosperity and inclusiveness; and strongly believes this powerful new voice for Cumbria will make a real and lasting contribution to the local economy.
