World Environment Day (No. 2)

EDM number 2428 in 2005-06, proposed by Tim Yeo on 22/06/2006.

That this House welcomes United Nations' World Environment Day (WED) on 5th June; supports the Environment Agency's work for WED, promoting individual and corporate action to tackle serious environmental issues such as climate change, energy use and consumption of water; recognises the importance of hon. Members in providing community leadership; and therefore urges hon. Members to reduce their own environmental impact by committing to one or more of the WED promises on the Environment Agency website, www.environment-agency.gov.uk/wed, and urging their constituents to do the same.

This motion has been signed by a total of 39 MPs.
