Amalgamation Of Ambulance Trusts In Cumbria

EDM number 2641 in 2005-06, proposed by David Maclean on 24/07/2006.

That this House notes with approval the motion passed by Carlisle City Council on 29th June which states that the council calls on all Cumbrian hon. Members to ensure that a service delivery unit is retained in Cumbria following the amalgamation of ambulance trusts and to ensure that the amalgamation does not jeopardise or detract from the excellent service which already exists and that the rural composition of Cumbria together with the needs of the population are recognised and addressed by government.
