Parades Season In Northern Ireland

EDM number 335 in 2005-06, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 15/06/2005.

That this House notes the beginning of the parades season in Northern Ireland; acknowledges the rights of many thousands of people to their traditional, cultural and religious commemorations; and calls upon the Government to ensure that the small number of parades organised by the Orange Order that take place through areas where Nationalists reside enjoy the same freedom to proceed as the equally small number of Nationalist parades that take place through Unionist areas such as Kilkeel, Desertmartin and Limavady already enjoy.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
