Resignation Honours
EDM number 1493 in 2006-07, proposed by Gordon Prentice on 16/05/2007.
That this House believes that the resignation honours list is no longer appropriate or desirable and should be discontinued; and further believes that, instead, the retiring Prime Minister should be invited by the Speaker to make a statement from the despatch box acknowledging the special contributions named individuals may have made to the conduct and work of his or her administration.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
