60th Anniversary Of Havering Singers
EDM number 1579 in 2006-07, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 24/05/2007.
That this House congratulates the Havering Singers on celebrating their 60th anniversary year of entertaining the people of Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster; notes that the once small group of 11 has grown in size and popularity to around 100 voices today who regularly perform in local churches as well as participating in the annual combined choir day of the Essex Musical Association; recognises the exceptional contribution the group has made to the communities in and around Havering over the past 60 years; and looks forward to many more years of wonderful choral music for all to enjoy.
