Grimethorpe Colliery Band

EDM number 215 in 2006-07, proposed by Jeff Ennis on 21/11/2006.

That this House sends its wholehearted congratulations to the Grimethorpe Colliery Band in winning the prestigious National Brass Band competition at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since Grimethorpe Colliery closed in 1993; welcomes the continued regeneration of the Band, which mirrors the very successful ongoing regeneration of Grimethorpe itself; and looks forward to the Band succeeding in finding a new corporate sponsor in the near future.

This motion has been signed by a total of 65 MPs.
