Plans For Policing London

EDM number 365 in 2006-07, proposed by Nick Clegg on 30/11/2006.

That this House notes that, despite great public concern over the future of London police stations, the Metropolitan Police Service is yet to publish its latest Estates Strategy with proposals for meaningful public consultation on how to manage the estate across London in future years; regrets that despite advice from the Metropolitan Police Authority there appears to be a lack of transparency in how this issue is being handled by the Metropolitan Police; and calls for no police stations in London to be closed until full public consultation has taken place and any replacement facilities are fully in operation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
