Near-Live Cricket Commentary

EDM number 427 in 2006-07, proposed by Sharon Hodgson on 07/12/2006.

That this House deplores the decision of the International Cricket Council to consider the revocation of press accreditation for journalists who offer near live text commentary of the 2007 Cricket World Cup online; recognises that text commentary is a popular way of staying in touch with political and sporting events for those without access to a television or radio; and expresses its wish that the media are able to continue to report such events online as and when they happen.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
