4th London Kurdish Film Festival

That this House warmly welcomes the 4th London Kurdish film festival from 8th to 14th December at the Rio Cinema in East London, which is organised with the support of the main Kurdish community centres in London and whose objective is to support the development of Kurdish cinema by showcasing films made by Kurdish directors on any subject, and films on Kurds by non-Kurdish directors; notes that it encourages and provides a platform for both Kurdish and non-Kurdish producers and filmmakers, many of them young directors; and believes that it is one of the most successful film festivals organised by a particular ethnic minority community in London, helping foster relationships and bridging gaps between those in the Kurdish and wider society.
