Romford Royal British Legion Band And Corps Of Drums

EDM number 548 in 2006-07, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 19/12/2006.

That this House congratulates the Romford Royal British Legion Band and Corps of Drums on winning both the Supreme National Championship and the National League Championship at this year's Traditional Youth Marching Band Association (TYMBA) event, held in Cannock, Staffordshire; recognises that this achievement was made all the more remarkable as it was the first time in the history of the TYMBA that a single band came first in every category of each competition it took part in; congratulates Drum Major Samuel Jepson for being crowned National Champion Drum Major and Drum Major of the Year; looks forward to the band returning to the championships next year; and wishes them continued success as they fly the flag for traditional marching bands, for Romford, for England and for Britain.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
