That this House congratulates the University of Leicester on being named University of the Year by the Times Higher Education magazine, recognising the University's outstanding achievements in research and teaching and its unique place among leading research universities in meeting its benchmarks for widening participation from lower socio-economic groups and state schools and colleges noted specifically by the University of the Year judges; and sends its warm congratulations to the Vice-Chancellor and staff and students at the University.
