Performance Of Lancashire Police Constabulary

EDM number 488 in 2007-08, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 05/12/2007.
Categorised under the topics of Crime and Police.

That this House congratulates the Lancashire Police Constabulary on being rated the joint best in England and Wales according to the Government's Police Performance Assessment rates; recognises that Lancashire scored well in the seven categories measured, which were tackling crime, resources and efficiency, serious crime and public protection, protecting vulnerable people, satisfaction and fairness, implementation of neighbourhood policing, and local priorities; accepts that while there are limitations with using such a system to measure the quality of policing, the fact that Lancashire scores well means that a good service is being provided for residents of Lancashire; and looks forward to Lancashire Constabulary further improving its performance through effective policing and engaging with local communities.
