That this House warmly welcomes the Leicester Mercury Support your County campaign to encourage people to buy local products from local traders; appreciates the vast range of regional products available in the Leicestershire region; recognises that during the present tough economic climate, it is more important than ever to support small, independent businesses; congratulates the Leicester Mercury on raising awareness of the issue and highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses; and encourages other counties and newspapers to launch similar campaigns which will boost the local economy.
