That this House recognises Human Rights Day on 10 December 2010; notes the year's theme of human rights defenders who act to end discrimination; acknowledges the commitment and sacrifice of campaigners around the world who seek to defend and promote human rights and combat discrimination; celebrates the past successes of defenders and campaigners, yet warns against complacency in the face of ongoing human rights violations and discrimination; and calls on the Government to continue to uphold,monitor and promote human rights on 10 December 2010 and beyond.
