Immigration And Nationality (Fees) Order 2011

EDM number 1464 in 2010-12, proposed by John McDonnell on 16/02/2011.
Categorised under the topics of Armed forces, Immigration and Nationality.

That this House regrets the decision to approve the Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Order 2011 because for the first time it introduces the power of Government to charge fees for the registration as British citizens of the children born to British armed forces personnel serving overseas; believes that military personnel serving their country abroad should not be penalised in this way; and calls on the Secretary of State for the Home Department to exercise her discretion to waive the fee charges in these cases.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
