That this House welcomes Cask Ale Week 2011, which will take place between 1 and 9 October 2011 and is supported by the Campaign for Real Ale and Cask Marque; celebrates the vital role that pubs play in communities, providing employment and contributing to the local economy; considers that well-run community pubs are essential in promoting responsible drinking in a safe and sociable environment; notes the role of Cask Ale Week in showing consumers the wide range of beers available from Britain's 800 real ale breweries, including through a Try Before You Buy scheme; and encourages hon. Members to consider visiting a local pub and otherwise show their support for pubs and real ale breweries in their constituency during the Cask Ale Week.
