leave out from `months;' to end and add `notes that while the detention of youths is to be regretted, Israel is in the difficult position of having little choice but to detain Palestinian children due to their suspected participation in terrorist acts; condemns terrorists' organisations which target Palestinian youths and which recruit them with the promise of becoming martyrs (shaheed), if they die while committing a suicide attack; further notes that 110 minors were arrested in the first half of 2008 for suspected terrorist activities compared to only 85 in 2007 and that between September 2000 and April 2007 217 minors were arrested due to involvement in suicide bomb attacks; and further notes that the recruitment of youths for terrorist purposes is in grave breach of the international laws of armed conflict, as stated in the Geneva Convention of 1949 and the two additional protocols of 1977.'.
