That this House notes the recent Diabetes UK Report which found that up to 24,000 people with diabetes in England die earlier from causes that could have been avoided through better management of the condition; further notes that young people with diabetes aged 15 to 34 years have the highest mortality risk; further notes that this is an issue throughout the entire UK; and calls for a new strategy to deal with the transition from paediatric to adult diabetes care services and promotes services such as telehealth to assist diabetes patients at home.
