That this House pays tribute to the career of Henry Richard, former Liberal hon.Member for Merthyr Tydfil, on the bicentenary of his birth at Tregaron, Ceredigion; notes the invaluable work which he undertook as Secretary for the Peace Society for 36 years; applauds his success to promote international arbitration; praises his passion for Wales and the Welsh and his efforts to raise the public consciousness of Wales as a nation; admires his efforts to reform and promote education; furthernotes with gratitude his role in the establishment of the University of Wales; and commends to the House his example as aman who fought for peace and justice.
