That this House notes that 16 September 2010is celebrated in Wales as Glyndwr Day in honour of Owain Glyndwr, who was proclaimed Prince of Wales in 1400, was the founder of Welsh Parliaments at Machynlleth, Harlech and Dolgellau, called for the creation of two Welsh universities to develop a Civil Service and train the priesthood and sent an ambassador to France; further notes the tragic end of the Glyndwr family of whom only the final resting place of his youngest daughter Catrin and her two young daughters at St Swithin's graveyard, London is known after she and her children died in 1413 in unknown circumstances following four years imprisonment in the Tower of London; welcomes the unveiling once again of the memorial to Catrin Glyndwr in the Walbrook Gardens and the official opening of the garden on 16 September 2010; congratulates Minerva Plc and the landscape architect Charles Funke on designing a Welsh-themed garden; and recognises the importance of this and other locations to the Welsh community in London.
