Food For Life Partnership National Roast Dinner Day

That this House congratulates the Food for Life Partnership on its recent National Roast Dinner Day in schools across the country on 29 September 2010; applauds the efforts of the Partnership and its participating schools and communities on their commitment to inspiring children and families to use and enjoy local and seasonal food; recognises the importance of such efforts towards social, educational and health benefits, for example noted improvements in children's behaviour and contributions to the fight against diabetes; and calls on the Government to support such programmes for the future health and wellbeing of schoolchildren.
