Slate Industry Of The North Of Wales And Unesco World Heritage Status

That this House recognises the immense historical, industrial, economic, geographical and cultural contribution that slate industry areas have made to the north of Wales; calls on the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to consider those industry areas for technical evaluation to be awarded World Heritage status so that future generations from around the world may learn of the immense contribution these areas have made in defining the history, culture, and landscape of the north of Wales.
