That this House congratulates Lizzi Armitstead on becoming the Women's Road Race World Champion; further congratulates her on winning the elite women's UCI World Championships road race in Richmond; notes that on achieving this she becomes the fourth British woman to be crowned world champion, following in the footsteps of Beryl Burton, Mandy Jones and Nicole Cooke; feels that she is a fantastic role model, not just to cyclists in her home town of Otley, but all over the world; and wishes her success in the Rio 2016 Olympics and beyond.
