Tuition Fees

EDM number 653 in 2015-16, proposed by Alan Meale on 04/11/2015.
Categorised under the topics of Loans and Students.

That this House calls on the Government to abandon its dangerous and ill thought-out plans to retrospectively change the student loan system, which is likely to result in the terms and conditions of current loans being rewritten without the agreement of students; reminds the Government of its tuition fee increases of 2012 which greatly mitigated against students, especially those from low-income backgrounds following its decision to scrap maintenance grants; and asks the Government to desist from yet again pricing the future out of educational endeavour.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
